These are the site rules. Please read them over carefully, and FOLLOW THEM. Please. If you do not, for some rules there are serious consequences and for some light consequences. Thank you!
--GENERAL
- TF is a canine (predator) roleplaying site, therefore is full of fighting, gore and other real life situations. Please only join the site if you are prepared for such activity.
- No form of theft is accepted on this site, from using others artwork without permission, to copy and pasting other's writing to your own posts and/or PMs. If you do not have the time to create a character or can't or don't want to for some reason, then please take a look at the Adoptions board here. If you can't draw or create a pic for your character and can't find an artist willing to sell/give permission for you to use their artwork, then please go to the Graphic Requests board in the User Shops section and request a pic.
- Help to create a comfortable, friendly environment all the time IC; I'm pretty sure that's the best environment for everyone to RP in. :)
- Please don't take offense to any tense activity between characters OOC.
--CHARACTER RULES
- Your character may be any sort of canine, but if your character is a hybrid it must be a realistic one, for instance a chihuahua can't have pups with a wolf. Also, all characters must be a real breed. They can, though, have unnatural mutations. There are a few minor abilities in the shop.
- You are not required to wait until your character's bio is accepted before roleplaying. However please change or fix any part of the bio if a staffer asks you to even if your character is in RP.
- True Fire is a character per account site, therefore you can only create one character per account. You may, of course, create as many accounts as you like. But please don't create unreasonable amounts of characters.
- Although you can have an unrealistic features, you must keep realistic the time between a character's puppyhood and adulthood, for instance a puppy can't suddenly be an adult, although if your character is a puppy you don't actually have to wait three years for the to become an adult, just make at least a few RP posts during the transition and make it clear that time has passed. And keep the actions of your character realistic, like no carrying other wolves on their backs or picking up items with their paws, with the exceptional fact of the wolves being able to communicate through words which is a huge part in actually roleplaying as you well know.
--ROLEPLAY RULES - You must always post in third person. (his, him, he, etc.) And you must always post in past tense. As in, 'he did' not 'he does'
- You may not describe mating in detail. Just end the RP post and put a few lines down in bold that there is mating in process. For instance; 'Jake's heart was pounding against his chest and his breaths came quickly. His mate Siv stood by him, moving closer. He moved closer to her, his body nearly rigid with nervousness but also excitement and happiness. His mate was ready to have pups! As her silver fur brushed his own, his let out a low sigh. he took one step closer, and all went black.' Then a few lines below; 'Jake and Siv are having pups. This RP post is the proof.' or something like that. :)
- Posting with the same character at the same time in totally different places and doing different things is allowed. For instance if you had a thread going about fighting with a loner and one about going to a pack meeting at the same time is okay. You can choose which time you would like to be taking place first, and which one last so that any injuries or other changes that occur in the earlier posts will be carried to the later posts.
- Puppies may be born any time after the parents have mated as long as there is an obvious gap between the time of mating and the time of birth. One parent can fill in the form in the adopt a cub board to receive their cubs, and each parent may roleplay only one pup. Once the cubs not kept have been adopted, they must be the same age as all the others even if they have not been active on the site.
- Characters are of course allowed to fight, but please don't make the different wounds and stuff overly graphic and gory. You may only have three doges per fight. You can only kill someone else's character with their permission. With humans, however, you can kill them without permission unless a staff member says otherwise, but please don't make it to easy, for instance: 'Avranathe saw a large human dragga leaning against the red brick wall of the moonlit ally, and growled. He ran over to the human, and jumped to his neck, killing him in a swift bite.' There must be some sort of reaction from the human unless is is sick, old, diseased or sleeping.
- If a canine enter another pack's territory, then the invaded pack has the power to attack and brutally injure the trespassers, who can, of course, fight back.
- No making your character invincible or roleplaying other user's characters; AKA godmodding. It takes away the fun from the game for everyone including you after a while so don't be rude. Anyone who is caught godmodding will be warned three times then banned from the site for a week or two.
- You may only join a group in a joining thread that you create. You cannot just suddenly appear in a group, and you must gain permission from the leader(s) of the group beforehand and they have the right to refuse. However, if their refusal is highly unreasonable, then PM a staff member and we'll check it out.
- Please remember that this is a roleplaying site and is meant to be fun, so contact a staff member if you need any help! Thank you for reading the rules!
